Residing in the stunning Nelson lakes region
of New Zealand, I began “playing” with concept and design using silver, originally inspired by my beautiful mountainous surroundings and by my ever-present desire to design and create.
My work has evolved as I have cultivated confidence in working with precious metals and I now incorporate a fusion of silver, gold and copper to create uniquely individual pieces which are an expression and extension of myself.
I enjoy the three-dimensional quality of jewellery as art and working the metals as a sculptor would work stone; thus relishing in the nature of precious metals as a “soft” medium that can be manipulated into something enchanting.
I believe that jewellery as body-wear should be an expression of one’s character and personality, as well as being beautiful to look at; this I hope to bring to the wearer with each piece I create.
Enjoy
